All about sex, culture, technology, art, politics,
ideas, drugs & rock & roll . . . but mostly sex
Virtually every fantasy and science-fiction series spawns its own erotic fan fiction these days, and Harry Potter is no exception, even though the books' principal characters have barely hit puberty. Most is slash fiction (the subculture term for stories centered on gay male couplings). Dozens of Harry Potter erotic fan fiction sites have popped up around the Internet. Warner Bros., the company distributing the Harry Potter movie, is none too happy about this area of fandom and is trying to crack down on unauthorized erotic fan fiction sites without generating a fan backlash. Several journalists have penned articles about the "Harry Potter porn" phenomenon.

Christopher Noxon discusses Harry Potter erotic fan fiction, the subculture of slash writers and readers, and how Warner Bros. has responded. San Francisco Chronicle (Nov 2001)
At Hoot Island, Wyyrd gets caught up in Harry Potter mania and offers a sneak preview of the next book in the series, Harry Potter and the Unquenchable Flame. The drawings appeared to be of some sort of intricate plumbing system, and resmebled slightly the more primitive sketchings Harry had seen in the boy's lavatory." Read it before AOL-Time-Warner's lawyers do.
