http://www.dazereader.com/24000958.htm On the plus side, there are 8 Utah State Senators who don't want to classify violent video games with porn, and the bill never came to a full vote. On the minus side, there were 56 aye votes.

A Utah State Senate bill that would have lumped the sale of violent video games to minors in with pornography died in the legislature this week, says the ever-vigilant GamePolitics.

Incredibly, the bill actually passed the House of Representatives by a 56-8 vote. (Not so incredibly, I now know eight people who I need to take out for a drink.) But the state Senate never moved the bill to a floor vote, and I hope that it's for reasons other than they forgot.
