Murder of Gwen Araujo
The Cat at Walden Pond has been closely following the murder of Gwen Araujo, a 17-year-old transgendered girl (aka Eddie Araujo, a 17-year-old crossdressing boy, depending on which account you read), in suburban San Francisco. Three guys beat her up, strangled her and buried her in the woods after learning she was "really a man" at a party. Here's a good AP story about the case.
